Expanding the Borders of Process-Oriented Family Therapy
Instructor: Gary Reiss, Ph.D.
Thursdays; 1/18, 1/25, 2/1, 2/8; 6:30 PM – 9:00 PM
Process Family Therapy combines individual, couples, family therapy, and group process and worldwork into a single framework. In this class we will explore new breakthroughs in group healing where the whole group works with the family, not just one therapist facilitating; breakthroughs in multi-cultural approaches to family work; and bring in Healing History, working with collective unprocessed history and collective “ghosts” in family difficulties. The class will consist of both exercises and demonstrations and live families coming in from the community. It is for Process Workers, other therapists, and others interested in studying and improving family life.
