Altered and Extreme States
Led by Gary Reiss, Ph.D
Saturday & Sunday, September 12 & 13, 2020
10:00am – 5:00pm
All of us experience altered states of consciousness and we need more skills and awareness in how to work with and live these states. We will work with the altered states of everyday life and peak experiences. We will train in how to work with extreme states in general, and then with specific states like depression, anxiety, suicidality, and other extreme states. Part of our focus will be on learning to process the social issues behind extreme states. Special emphasis will be given to working with spiritual emergence experiences, with addictions, and with near death states and major accidents.
We will explore new methods of working with extreme states that have powerful transformative effects, that often work well with clients resistant to more traditional approaches.
