“Why wait to get dementia? Follow the Process.” Arnold Mindell

Alzheimer’s, other dementias, senility, stroke, head injury, just plain forgetfulness: what
possible everyday usefulness and creative strengths could be born of these tragic and
troublesome conditions? Strengths that are usually overlooked by our consensus reality
aversion to forgetting, plus our western medicalization of forgetfulness. We will work on
deep needs to disremember, exploring the creative essence of ourselves and others in the
altered spaces of forgetting.
For professional carers, family members, and forgetters like you and me.
Sessions include experiential exercises, lecture, brainstorming, handouts, and consultation.

Outcomes:
1) Escaping the doldrums of daily boring common ordinary forgetfulness.
2) How to better handle placebos (to please) and nocebos (to harm) of modern western
medical forgetfulness practice.
3) Discovering and utilizing creativity within forgetfulness.
